The community events are informal drop-in sessions designed to promote the consultation and the Local Development Plan process, and to support participation.
- Planning officers will be available to:
- explain the purpose of the consultation and how to submit comments.
- provide guidance on relevant planning considerations.
- outline how the spatial strategy is developed and how sites are selected from the options currently under consideration, and
- explain the key stages in the LDP process, along with future consultation and engagement opportunities.
As the consultation relates to early-stage site options, which have not been formally approved by the Council for inclusion in the Proposed Plan, the events will not involve formal presentations. Officers will also not be able to comment on the individual merits of specific sites at this stage.
