Drop kerbs to allow more confident cyclists who would prefer to take a more direct route before and after the roundabouts at either end switch between road and cycle path (e.g. I would anticipate that particularly during quieter times many would prefer to take the more direct route at the university roundabout rather than doubling back; conversely when roads are busier and traffic is slow moving, cycing on the road at the wallace high roundabout is likely to be more attractive than taking the 'long way round' on the cycle path- particularly when this is busy with school pupils). Also drop kerbs along the route in general to allow faster cyclists to join the road temporarily to pass slower cyclists/ pass pedestrians at shared use parts.

Bus stop on northbound carriageway opposite Institute of Sport should be "floating" to avoid encountering bus passengers. Also, considering the speed limit on Airthrey Road, I would like to see more of a buffer between the southbound cycle lane and oncoming traffic - maybe a small grass verge? Might it be possible to bring controlled crossing at the main entrance to the university south of the roundabout to avoid doubling back in both directions? This also does not consider that many cyclists exit the university by road rather than on the (very narrow) cycleway. They might find it more difficult to join this route than they currently would with the on-road cycle lane. For cyclists heading north along Airthrey Road who did not come via Dunster Road to the south, it should be easier to join the cycle route from the main carriageway, e.g. by providing a slipway off the carriageway just before the controlled crossing/bus stop by Wallace High School.
