Gowanhill gardens - new nature park?

Could this brownfield be turned into a new local nature park? There is a lot of biodiversity here already. The general area is severely over-developed with almost no good-quality wildlife-rich greenspace for local people, especially those who can't access the paths of Gowanhill. Creating a new nature park here would benefit people's health and wellbeing, while meeting the council's objectives in the Alive with Nature plan.
