Great area to include. Again though, very heavily used for recreation. This includes many unofficial paths and cycle tracks. A balance needs to be struck between the multitude of recreational users and the conservation area goals.

Even within recreation a balance needs to be struck especially above the quarry where people walk as there are too many near misses. It has become a speed track for many outwith the area which can be frightening for older people and wildlife. Although local MB and walkers understand the multi use better, and the conservation issues, help is needed.. There are now red squirrels in the area amongst other things.

Now we have red squirrels in the woods below the golf course which is great. But the paths and woods are going to need attention. However the council is strapped for funds so may need the ‘Friends of Bridge of Allan’ to apply for grants with officer support

Agree. They are a wonderful woodland wildlife link between the town and the river and the hills and reservoir above
