Overall I support the proposal .

However I think the survey of areas that could be set aside and verges need to be mapped and consultation take place on the plan . Similar maps to what come out for road/ cycle improvements where you can drop comments on should allow tweaks to be made to reflect sight lines for verges or leaving children's playing areas alone

Please also include a comprehensive and ongoing evaluation of the areas left fallow to ensure they are contributing or need a rethink

Also seek to create a forum to involve and encourage and give support to other landowners whose land could also be turned over to this rather than regularly mowed

Finally this should not be seen as a possible cost saving benefit to the council and areas which need to be maintained should be regularly maintained
