A new rail station near Causewayhead

This option is for a new rail station at Causewayhead within walking and cycling distance of Causewayhead, Cornton and the University. A new rail station will mean more choice about how to travel, better connections and shorter journey times to both the city centre and to Glasgow, Edinburgh and stations in between. 

For residents of the Hillfoots villages it would be an alternative to driving into Alloa or into Stirling city centre for longer journeys, keeping those cars out of our city streets.

The new rail station would have ample cycle parking, disabled parking, EV charging points and local bus connections, all supporting sustainable travel as well as increased conventional parking to help keep cars from our city centre streets and support action against climate change.
