
A9 Bannockburn
This route follows the A9 running East – West. Connecting communities with St. Mary's Primary, Bannockburn Primary and High School and links onwards from St. Ninians Roundabout. It will provide a corridor for communities in Hillpark, Bannockburn and the emerging South Stirling Gateway Development to travel actively to school, local services and onward journeys to the city centre.

Thank you to everyone who took the time to take part in the survey. A detailed summary of the consultation phase is attached below.
Overall, participants indicated strong support for segregated active travel infrastructure over shared-use along the length of the route. However, there were a number of suggestions to have a route off of the A9 at the west end of the corridor. Respondents said that improved crossings and slower traffic speeds were most important for them along the corridor. There was no strong response to removing on-street parking in locations. However, some people were concerned about the impact on traffic if carriageway widths were reduced while parking was retained.
