Review of Alcohol Byelaws
Stirling Council is reviewing the Prohibition of the Drinking of Alcohol in Public Places Byelaw 1998 (as amended).
Byelaws must be reviewed every 10 years. The Council’s alcohol byelaws were last reviewed in 2016.
You can read the full byelaws by downloading the document below.
All the maps relating to the Alcohol Byelaws are available on the link below:
This consultation is seeking views on whether the current alcohol byelaws remain necessary, appropriate and effective. We also want to hear whether any changes should be made, including whether the byelaws should be extended to other areas, such as Aberfoyle.
Your views will help inform decisions about the future of the byelaws, including whether they should:
- continue in their current form;
- be amended or extended to other areas; or
- be revoked.
By taking part, you can help shape both the future of the alcohol byelaws and what they contain.
If the consultation indicates that the byelaws should be amended or revoked, any proposed changes would require a further decision by Stirling Council and would be subject to the relevant statutory process.
