Phases
analysis of responses and feedback
Thank you to those who took the time to take part in the 3rd consultation phase and came to our drop-in event at the Crawford Community Centre.
In summary, the majority of respondents were Supportive or Very Supportive of the proposed concept on Burghmuir Road. Respondents Agreed with the alignment through the upcoming Viewforth Development site and many showed their support for segregation between pedestrians and cyclists in the comments. As in the previous consultation phases there were a number of respondents who did not support the proposal or investment in active travel infrastructure whatsoever.
For a more detailed breakdown see the attached report.
From this consultation our mandate is clear. To develop the proposed concept, with improved biodiversity, additional crossings, no further traffic calming on Shirra’s Brae. We will be sharing the finalised design on Engage and our programme with key dates.
