Causewayhead Road and Dunster Road
Background
The University Route proposal seeks to promote a reduction in vehicle speeds by narrowing residential roads and provision of street calming measures. Safe controlled crossing points will also be provided where the cycle routes span busy roads.
Currently there is a uni-directional cycle way on either side of the road along Causewayhead road which is separated from vehicle traffic by a white line. The contrast colour is faded and there is the risk of cars parking in the cycleway. The current NCN alignment turns down Dumyat Road and along Dunster Road.
