Children and Young People's Big Conversation: Detailed proposals
Every year, Stirling Council spends millions of pounds on public services - like schools, bin lorries, parks, and libraries - that you, your family, and your friends use every day.
We get told how much money we have to spend, and then we need to decide how we spend it to make sure things are good in your area.
A few months ago, we asked about what you think is going well, and what you think we need to do more about to make things better.
Now, we want to know what you think of the ideas we have to save and make money. We also want to know if any of them will affect you or people you know.
So, please tell us what you think by filling out this survey!

The UNCRC
In January 2024, the United Nations Convention on the Right of the Child (UNCRC) became incorporated into Scottish Law.
It includes 54 articles that cover all aspects of a child's life, and it explains how public services must work together to ensure that the rights of all children are recognised and given effect.
In particular, article 12 says that children have the right to be listened to and taken seriously. It says that adults who make decisions that affect children should ask them what they think, and the children should be supported to give their views in a way that suits them. They shouldn't have to worry that their opinions will be dismissed because of their age.
Where we spend our money is one of the most important decisions we make every year, so it's especially important that children and young people in our area can have their say in this.

Phases
Tell us what you think of the detailed proposals
In this phase of the budget consultation we want to hear about how our proposals will affect you and your community. Use the survey to tell us whether one or more proposals will impact you, and if so how.
