Stirling Forthside Masterplan and Design Guide

We are sharing Stirling Council’s early stage proposals for an updated Masterplan and new Design Guide for the Forthside area of Stirling and welcome your views.

The updated Masterplan seeks to deliver a mixture of uses across a number of key sites to enable and support medium to long term development and deliver on the Council’s and Scottish Government’s Net Zero targets. The proposed uses include business/innovation, commercial and residential developments. This will be tied together by new, efficient active travel and vehicle routes, with wider connections to the city and areas beyond as set out in the Local Development Plan Funding.

The £5million land transfer is funded via the Stirling and Clackmannanshire City Region Deal. £19 million has also been secured from the Levelling Up Fund for Forthside redevelopment. £16million of this is to re-develop the Forthside Ministry Of Defence site and build on the potential gained from the City Region Deal. The remaining £3million supports the complementary Active Travel routes.
