Glasgow Road

This section will provide a direct link for communities in the south of the city to the other 3 routes through St. Ninians Roundabout. As we see the development of communities in the south of Stirling, particularly at Durieshill, this will bring an increase in trips into Stirling along the corridor. By enabling more people to leave the car at home and travel into Stirling by active and sustainable means, this route will help deliver the Council’s vision for a more environmentally sustainable transport system and reduce the risk of congestion along the corridor caused by the new developments to the south.

Key destinations:

  • Connections to Borestone Primary School
  • Battle of Bannockburn Visitor Centre
  • South Stirling Gateway Development
  • Durieshill Development
  • Onward travel to city centre
