Staff Travel Survey 2024

We want to know how you travel to work, so that we can make it easier to travel in a way that is efficient and sustainable, and meets all of our staff's needs.

We want to know how staff across the council currently travel to work, why they use these modes, and to find out about any barriers or incentives to using more sustainable forms of transport. This will help inform a staff travel plan, as well as complementing the forthcoming accommodation strategy, and the public transport and active travel strategies. We also recognise that the limited availability of parking at our offices causes staff issues. By finding out how we can better support alternative modes of transport that reduce the number of cars needing to access staff parking, we hope to identify ways to minimise this problem.

This strand of work aligns with the council’s 10-year plan for a Thriving Stirling by contributing to Priorities 2 (maintaining effective relationships with our staff), 4 (developing a competitive and thriving sustainable local economy,) 5 (improving health and wellbeing outcomes), and 8 (tackling the climate and nature emergency). It further contributes to the goals of the Climate and Nature Emergency Plan; the Active Travel and Public Transport Strategies; and the Workforce Strategy.
