Taxi Fares Review 2026
Stirling Council reviews taxi fares and charges every 18 months and must consult on any proposals to change the taxi fare tariff.
A review of the current taxi fare and charges has been carried out by LVSA and is included below the recommendation is for fares to be increased by approximately 11.7% by making the following changes to the taxi fare table:
- No change to the waiting time charge;
- The flag drop fares for Tariffs 1, 2, and 3 should be increased by 11.7%, rounded to the nearest 10 pence;
- The distance increments for all three Tariffs to change and be charged at 10 pence;
- Tariff 4 to be introduced to cover the festive period;
- Tariff 5 to be introduced to cover the festive period for hires with five or more passengers;
- Extra charges remain unchanged.
