Travel Demand
As part of our work on our Sustainable Mobility Strategy, we want to make sure that as many people as possible in the region have access to efficient and reliable public transport and active travel options (which can include bus, rail, walk/wheel, cycle, e-bikes, and car-share) so that everyone can get to where they need to go, without having to rely on a private car.
We know that in areas with high-quality public transport and active travel options there are improvements for people's health and wellbeing, social equality, the regional economy, and carbon emissions.
To help us achieve these improvements, we want to know about the places in our council area that you need to and love to travel to on a regular basis, so that we can make sure that all corners of Stirling are accessible to as many people as possible.
This survey asks you to tell us about a journey that is important to you. This could be for any reason, including getting to work or school, visiting shops, or to spend time with friends and family. By telling us about your important journey, you will be helping to improve the transport network in Stirling.
By gathering this information now, we are making sure that we are using existing budgets in the right places, and also that we are ready to take action when future funding opportunities come up.
You can submit multiple responses to this survey if there is more than one important journey you'd like to tell us about.
*Please note: If you wish to submit more than one response to the survey, please log out of your account before proceeding.
If you have any problems please contact us at the email address below.
All submissions are anonymous and you won't be asked to provide contact details.
If you have any questions about the survey you can contact us at: transportplanning@stirling.gov.uk
This survey will help shape actions associated with our Sustainable Mobility Strategy (SMS) and its associated action plans (for active travel, public transport, cars and EVs, and freight), both in the short-medium term and the long term.
If you'd like to provide feedback on the SMS, a separate survey is available by clicking here.
Phases
Tell us about an important journey
Stirling Council is keen to understand the journeys you need to make, and how you can get there whenever you need. By answering our questions, you can help shape our public transport strategy.
We'd like to know about a journey that is important to you. This could be for any reason, including getting to work or school, visiting shops, or to spend time with friends and family.
By telling us about your important journey, you will be helping the Council to improve the transport network in Stirling.
The survey first asks questions about your important journey. There's then two further questions where you can suggest a new route, or drop a pin on the map to show where you think things like bike lockers, EV chargers, and bus stops should be.
You can submit multiple responses to this survey if there is more than one important journey you'd like to tell us about. All submissions are anonymous and you won't be asked to provide contact details.)
